  • Our Vision

We envision a future where climate action is driven by inclusivity, equity, and global collaboration, creating a healthy planet for generations to come.

  • Our Mission

SHE Changes Climate is committed to enabling women in all their diversity to lead and influence just climate action by embedding their perspectives and innovative solutions into decision-making at all levels. We work to increase female representation in climate policy, cultivate new and support current female leaders, and drive systemic change through advocacy, awareness-raising, and movement building.

Why we need women in positions of leadership

The climate crisis is affecting us all every minute of every day, but the perspectives on, and decisions about, how to tackle it have previously excluded women.

Women represent half of the world’s population. Their insights and perspectives are crucial in driving sustainable and equitable climate action.

Driving awareness on the crucial role of women in accelerating climate action

We are committed to ensuring women, in all their diversity, are included as active participants in climate leadership and policy making processes. To achieve this, we are actively campaigning for inclusion and diversity by working closely with governments and collaborating with like-minded organisations to raise awareness of inequalities in climate leadership.

Our Short Film

On 8 March 2022 - Women’s Day, in partnership with Clim8, Earth Minutes and Visionary Pictures, we released a short film. The film captures seven powerful voices that address the importance of a gendered narrative in climate change, leadership, indigenous rights and scientific research. The film was nominated for awards from The Earth Future Festivals and at the Lift-Off Global Network Session 2022.

We spearhead women, the largest excluded party from climate negotiations, with a view to opening the door for all marginalised people.
