Now, more than ever, it's urgent to unite women-led climate initiatives to amplify their impact, address intersectional challenges, strengthen advocacy, build resilience, and drive systemic change. As the climate crisis escalates, unified action is essential to ensure women's voices are heard and their leadership is recognized through equal representation.
In a landscape with numerous actors, SHE Changes Climate is working to actively involve more women in climate-related decision-making spaces while building strong partnerships to drive the movement forward.
Our Guiding Purpose
In August 2024 we published our Purpose Document, Unlocking Women Leadership for Climate Solutions, which serves as the foundational reference that defines the “why” behind the SHE Changes Climate movement, and as the basis for the consultation process.
Online Survey
This survey was part of our consultation efforts with stakeholders in the climate and gender space to better understand the needs, gaps, challenges, opportunities, and expectations regarding women's leadership in climate action.
The insights we collected will directly inform our Strategic Action Plan for the next few years, ensuring that our collective vision is both grounded and impactful.
Stakeholder Consultation
SHE Changes Climate is transitioning from a campaign-focused approach to building a broad, inclusive movement. Local networks serve as the foundation for driving global action, while global platforms create opportunities for local voices to participate and be heard.
In September 2024, we conducted consultations with stakeholders in the climate and gender space to gain a deeper understanding of the needs, gaps, challenges, opportunities, and expectations regarding women's leadership in climate action.
Country consultations were held in Kenya, Brazil, India, Nepal, and Zimbabwe, which were followed by a global consultation.
