A Call to Stand United for One Planet

Reflections following the EU elections

With the EU elections just concluded, it’s time to look ahead and band together with our shared home—the Earth—top of mind.

The decisions we make today will leave a lasting impact on the future of our climate. Yet even as we prepare to make these decisions, it is crucial that we stand united as people living and relying on one planet. Climate inaction, if not addressed, will deepen existing human rights and gender justice issues.

As SHE Changes Climate, we have consistently carried the belief that we must unite for climate solutions, regardless of our backgrounds, gender, age and geographical locations. We uphold the values of working together and generosity, and to change the climate for the better, we stand firm in the fact that everyone needs to be on board. No one should be left behind. Climate change affects the whole world.

The results of EU elections have brought about some backlash, but irrespective of personal views and political orientations, fundamental issues for us and for future generations  need to be considered and addressed. —  It is high time to strip ourselves from parties, logos and egos, and  band together for this place that offers us so much good; this place we call home.

We urge all Europeans, and the world at large, to join us in this relentless journey to save the planet. Together we can move mountains, for a better and brighter future.
