For two weeks, women leaders, negotiators and civil society leaders have gathered in a strongly united global movement to address the climate emergency and the need for the immediate phase-out of fossil fuels as a crucial step to limit global warming.

The Dialogue featured inspirational and influential leaders and explored opportunities to create new areas of collaborations among those involved in addressing the interconnected crisis of Climate and Nature, and its impacts on People.

Our focus is on core strategic priorities which align with the 2023 climate action agenda. Our mission with our COP28 Campaign is to leverage the power of collective action by building synergies with our existing communities and partners.

The event allowed for the exchange of wisdom and experiences of elders to women in their youth advocating for climate action. By learning from each other, we can design and implement powerful climate solutions.

As we enter the final days of COP28, we are at a tipping point. The world and its people need the strongest possible outcome to keep 1.5 degrees within reach. But delivering on this historic task requires us to act like a team.

Following the discussions, recommendations and overall success of the Unite For Climate Solutions Summit, we bring to the public’s attention a statement in support for women leaders driving climate action at COP28 and beyond, and for the immediate phase out of fossil fuels.

The Unite For Climate Solutions virtual summit brought women leaders, changemakers and the COP28 leaders together for discussions around the four paradigm shifts needed for sustainable climate action. These are the recommendations we are taking to COP28.

Members of our core team and ambassador network are in Dubai. Our plan is to speak with governments, non-state actors and civil society organizations to join in the movement, as well as strongly advocating for unity in climate action by endorsing our inclusion and diversity principles.
